What this is
keepalive is a website with a countdown. Anyone can pay to add time. When the clock hits zero, the site dies for good: it becomes a memorial and nothing can bring it back, not even the owner.
Payments
Payments are final and non-refundable. There is no prize and nothing is paid out. Nothing is refunded if the site dies, with two automatic exceptions: a payment that completes after the site has died is refunded, and so is a sponsor spot that is declined.
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who sell on our behalf as the merchant of record and handle tax. Your receipt and card statement come from them.
- A payment counts when Dodo Payments confirms it to us. If that happens after the clock hit zero, it's refunded in full automatically.
- A declined sponsor spot is refunded in full automatically.
- Payments over $1,000 from one card (or, without a card, one email address) within 24 hours are refunded automatically.
- There is no prize and nothing is paid out to anyone. A payment buys time on the clock (and, for sponsors, a ranked spot) and nothing else.
- Every $1 adds 5 minutes. That rate never changes.
The refund policy lists every case where money comes back.
Sponsor spots
- New spots and changes to a name or link are reviewed before they show. We decline scams, adult content, gambling, crypto token promotions and links flagged as unsafe.
- A spot lasts exactly as long as the site lives. Sponsor payments add time only while the clock is under 24 hours; the rest counts toward rank.
- Taps are free time from visitors. We limit them to stop abuse, and they may be paused when the clock is critical.
Names
Names you enter when saving are shown publicly. Don't use anything offensive, a link, or someone else's name. We may hide any name; the time it added stays.
No guarantees
The site is provided as is. It may go down briefly for reasons outside our control, but the clock is kept on the server and keeps its time.
